I believe art to be a greatest element of my identity. Throughout the journey of life I have been affected by the beauty and creativity around me. My joy is to respond with my own creativity to interpret and reflect with elegance the beauty captured in a moment. I paint because I can’t imagine life without it. I am mostly self taught through adult continuing education and art workshops. Although I grow up in Warsaw, Poland, for a few decades now I live and create in North Vancouver BC. However, I also live in Mexico a lot of the time, so my work reflects the beauty of both places. Majority of my paintings are in oil on canvas. I particularly enjoy painting portraiture including people, children and animals, also transforming my figurative life drawings into oil paintings. In the last few years I became interested in trying different materials and genres, progressing into a semi-abstract landscape and florals. This opened up to me new pathways of creativity and expression which I like to share with collectors and enthusiasts. |
